Privacy Policy — Staff Book

This privacy policy describes how Staff Book (“the app”) handles your information. The short version: your data never reaches us, because there is no “us” to reach.

What we collect

Nothing. Staff Book has no servers, no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no advertising. The app makes no network calls of its own.

Where your data lives

Your staff members, their attendance, salaries, advances, increments, bonuses and documents are stored in a local database on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, Apple’s CloudKit syncs that database to your private iCloud database, readable only by your Apple ID, so the same book appears on your iPad or a new iPhone. That sync is between you and Apple, governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We cannot read it; nobody but you can.

Documents

Photos of Aadhaar cards, police verification and agreements that you add to a staff member’s profile are stored only in that same private database. Camera, Photos and Files access is requested only when you choose that source. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, a local notification is scheduled on your device at each person’s usual arrival time. No notification service outside your phone is involved.

Face ID

If you enable the app lock, Face ID is handled entirely by iOS. Staff Book is told only whether authentication succeeded — your biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no personal information about you from the transaction. The free-trial start date is stored on your device and in your own iCloud key-value store so a reinstall does not restart it.

Your data is portable

You can export any person’s salary statement or a household summary as a PDF at any time, free, even after the trial ends. Deleting the app — and its iCloud data via iOS Settings — removes everything permanently.

Children’s privacy

Staff Book does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Not legal or payroll advice

Staff Book is a record-keeping tool. Its salary math is arithmetic on rules you entered yourself. It is not advice on employment law, minimum wages or tax.
